Hi guys,

I have just gone back to my car (parked on the side of a residential street while I met a friend) and found it to be damaged on the passenger side (see pics below).

The car is a 2012 Mazda 2 Venture (bought in July). The person that did it hasn't owned up so I will have to get it fixed myself. In your oppinions, what is likely to be the best way to go about getting this repaired?

Thanks in advance, Theron.

Most of that will polish out tbh, and you will need someone to re secure the arch lining.

Not so sure you'll be able to remove that without paint but when its cleaned up and gone over you should be able to minimise what can be seen. Im actually wondering how someone manages to do that damage all along one side

T-Cut & polish will sort that & loosen that bolt (looks a 10 to me) & pop the liner back under, JD.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions, I went down to the shops and bought loads of cleaning and scratch removal stuff. Only problem is that I'm not sure if my car is metallic or not, i think it might be mica so I am using the metallic version of T-cut.

I haven't done this before so I'm a bit apprehensive and don't want to make the problem worse than it already is... wish me luck!

Had a wander along the street to see any cars with damage that matches?

Yes, no cars seem to be damaged.... maybe a delivery van or something :(

Just put a tiny bit of T-Cut on the cloth & work in small circles, Be gentle & you'll feel the liquid turn to cut, Don't over do it. Then use a seperate rag to buff it up, Keep doing it gently as above until you get the results you want then wash & wax/polish the car.

Thank you for that advice :)

If you can't do it yourself or it doesn't improve enough to your liking, ask your local Chipsaway rep.

I have seen this company, are they any good? Reasonable prices etc?
