Crysis 3 - Best upgrade your graphics!!

I remember when the original Crysis came out.

They claimed it so advanced you would need the highest possible specs to play it, and it would melt your system.

What they did not tell you was it was so advanced it only used 1 CPU core.

Its a good job those days are nearly at an end, Cryengine 3 like Frost Byte 2 and a few others will use 8 cores now.

It didn't use 1 core though, albeit it didn't really use quads and was more 2 cores.

I'd still put Crysis over Crysis 2 any day of the week.

It's times like this that I regret having a 1440p monitor. Well, I don't, but I wish I had more money to go xfire!

I actually put it to the test, it only had one core doing anything, all the rest sat completely idle.

Me, i prefer Crysis 2 a lot more, much better GFX, game play and so on...

I'm looking forward to Crysis 3 :)

Well its only going to hammer rigs if you want to run it at the highest settings going off that article, usually the difference between high settings and max settings are minimal at best. Crysis 2 was suppose to be a super duper demanding game that would melt are rigs, but it ended up being a pretty well optimized engine/game with awesome eye candy. I'm pretty sure Crysis 3 will be the same, after all their main market is consoles....

I don't like the visual style of the cry engine 3, same with frostbite.

Much prefer Crysis 1's GFX to Crysis 2's, as well as it being the better game.

Crysis 3 I'll buy when it's cheap, play it through to see how more they've ruined the story they set in motion with Crysis 1.

7950 Crossfire should cope with the retail.
