Decided that we need to upgrade some of our Christmas lights for some more LED ones and am wondering if anyone has found any good deals.

Last year we got some from B&Q but i'm not prepared to pay £40 for 400 lights. Last year they were £18 for the same if i remember correctly.

LEDs should be cheap due to the cost of manufacturing but these companies know that people prefer them.

Anyone found any good deals?

Thanks.

I buy an extra set every year and my dilemma this year is that Wilkinson's and B&Q etc are selling the same sets as last year.

Have a nose on eBay. Loads more on there, and at better prices than B&Q.

Obviously now is the best time to find bargain Christmas Lights :p, if you're only upgrading / replacing wait till after Christmas :)

We got ours "half price" at homebase last year, LED bright white ones, they look great. Argos also have them half price, though they are the same products.

B&Q will no doubt reduce theirs soon.

For half price, they are pretty dire prices. It just seems as though they have bumped the price up dramatically and then halved it down to meet normal pricing of others.

B&M, 400 lights for £12

I want to decorate our entire outside, however I think it'll mean some rewiring of them to allow for reach and cutting down on plugs etc. Going to have to do a little research and brush up on my electronic skills (which suck) :p

Got a link? I'm looking on B&M and all i can see is 240 at £19.99 and 100 at £7.99

Thanks.

If you truly want to buy them cheap, then don't buy at Xmas.

Get them just after Xmas when they will be discounted to clear stock.
Reason they can charge so much now is because they know people will buy them.

Welcome to Retail 101, class one!

Indeed, don't i know it.

By the way, B&M have confirmed, it's £29.99 for 400 and £12 for 200 packs.

They had some LED string lights - for indoor or outdoor use - in Clas Ohlson.

I got some - only 80 lights like (6 meters) - but only paid £4.99 for them.

They had some for £14.99 which I think were 400's

Got them in white, blue, red and multi
