I placed an order with another well known E-Tailer on the 22nd of November for a new graphics card. The site claimed to have over 20 in stock and ready for next day delivery. So that's exactly what I did. The next day nothing had arrived despite ordering at 4am on the 22nd. I thought, ok, fair enough, I live up north in the middle of nowhere. But a week later and still nothing and no reply from their customer service until 5 days later. To which this is the reply I get;

Please accept our apologies for the delay.

I have checked your order and can confirm that your goods are being shipped direct from our supplier. I have requested an ETA, as soon as I get a reply I will update you.

Thank you for your patience.

Kind regards
Kay

Being shipped from your supplier eh? I didn't agree or have any prior knowledge of this.

And then I get this today;

Many thanks for your enquiry.

I have checked with the supplier and the current ETA for the goods to be allocated to your order is 19/12/12.

This date is subject to change. Once the goods have been allocated they will be shipped out as per the delivery option you have chosen when placing the order.

Please advise if you are happy to wait for the stock or would you like to cancel the order?

If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

................................. Needless to say I'm raging. How can businesses expect to keep customers loyal to them with this sort of service?

Think it's about time I stuck with OCUK despite having to pay a fortune in delivery costs.

/end rant

Whilst on the subject, the free ocuk delivery for forum users does this cover the highlands?

Even though I technically don't live in the highlands every bloody e-tailer out there loves charging me a fortune for delivery!
