Classic Resident Evil Games on Steam/Origin?

You're probably gonna be annoyed with me for the title ;) as they aren't on Steam/Origin, but man, wouldn't it be amazing if Capcom ported them to Windows 7 and put them on Steam & Origin? The reason I say ported is because they have awful support for Windows 7 (obviously) and take a nightmare to get running, and even then the cut scenes are just black with sound. :(

Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, CV, CV-X & 4, with CV & CV-X being ported (as it's console only atm).

It'd be amazing, even if they didn't port CV/X. Do you guys think it'd be worth making one of those petitions they used for Dark Souls/GTA V to try and grab Capcom's attention? Eidos/Sq. Enix bought Tomb Raider 1-5 out recently, so the Resident Evil games would go down an absolute treat, and I don't know about any of you guys but I'd love to go back through them properly.

Thoughts? :)

Please don't bother turning this into a 'how Resident Evil 4 isn't a classic' or 'Resident Evil 4 ruined Resident Evil' topic.
 
Would love the see the originals on steam they were real resident evil games, the camera view & atmosphere were epic.
 
Resi 4 is brilliant, the only problem it had on the PC, was that it was ported with low res textures, so you had to do some digging to find a zip file that contained what was needed to get it looking like the Gamecube version, it was also easier with a controller over a mouse and keyboard.

Still an awesome game though.

I recently played and loved an emulated version of Resident Evil 1 the Gamecube remake on the PC....I was shocked at how good it looked for its time.

Definetely worth a go if you love the classic RE's.

Still looks good today, as does Resi Zero. I could name a few games in the past that still look good today, like Star Fox Adventures, Mario Sunshine, Jedi Outcast etc, the Gamecube was amazing for producing games with good graphical quality and storyline.

+1 Most PS1 games have been ported and the originals go for around £15+ on eBay if in good condition. I got my originals years ago off eBay for £10 each.

They also run just fine on Windows 7.
