Unlocking iphone 4

Anyone managed to unlock an iphone 4 legitimately?
mines locked to orange and im changing to vodafone. Heard bad things about the £20 unlock orange offer in that basically you wait forever!
You'll probably get better advice in the Apple hardware forum
it's typically instant on iPhones via all the providers because it's done through iTunes. If you ask the person on the phone they can usually tell you if you'll be quick or long (the provider who takes a month is not currently selling phones through Orange from a quick look).
