Oh dear...I think some one is going to get the sack!

DJs impersonating the Queen and Prince Charles were allowed to speak directly to staff on the Duchess’s ward and obtain detailed updates on her condition, which were then played LIVE on air

The hospital's chief executive said it was a foolish and deplorable prank but added that patient confidentiality is taken extremely seriously and that telephone protocols are now being reviewed

Honestly...they must have done some pretty convincing voices - or the receptionist and nurse are thick? I think she might be better in an NHS hospital...its next to impossible to speak to a ward when you call them :p

Blimey, bit of an oversight there. Our local hospital have a password system in place (unique to each patient) for even routine stuff like major RTCs and serious assaults so the police can get updates. I'm sure that's fairly standard practice.

The woman who originally picked up the phone sounded Indian, she probably went straight to the other woman and said "The queen is on the phone". :o

For such a serious breach of the data protection act someone has to lose their job, It's a shame but it HAS to go further really considering who was involved
