No idea about gaming sound cards, help?

Erm I would be using headphones more, around 80% of my computer time is pure FPS gaming so use my headphones a lot. I have looked at the sound blaster Z as it looks like a good bit of kit. But then so does the suggested one by Stuie.

Yeap, both are good cards. It really depends on your budget then

Yeah don't really have a budget, just want a good card.. Spent a bit on the rest of tr system so see no point scrimping on the sound card.

Pretty much yeah. Theres extra features like CMSS3D on the creative cards, the xonar cards have a dolby something as an equivalent, they allow for better surround sound in games so you can hear stuff behind you or at the side of you better etc.

Only thing worth noting the z doesnt have front audio headers if that matters

The Z does have a front panel audio connection.

tbh i was only going by the specs it lists, you have one so your more likely to know
