I did a 4 lap drift of an island close to my house the other week. That Tax Evader geezer is a bad influence. The road was of course private, closed and mine.
Same happened to me in the gti6 the other morning. Dry, not cold enough to be icy, clue should have been when I pulled away with naff all revs the nearside wheel span just a little. Turned into roundabout, possibly lifted off the throttle but unsure and only going slow next thing it feels like i've no grip and I know then the back end is off on its own accord. I'm sure it was only a little kick out, maybe a foot, but it felt so much more. Quick bit of opposite lock and all was well again.
I did think something must be up with the car at first but when I got to work there was the tell tale signs off salt / grit on the tyres. Then I replayed it in my head and the wheel spinning and it all clicked. Glad I don't have a motorbike anymore as I'd be having butt clenching moments every corner!
