Could you do me a small favour mate when you get 5mins, measure and let me know the length of the MSI 7970 you've just bought as I'm looking at the same one but low on clearance in my new water setup!

Also what blocks you putting on them? :)
 
I wanted swiftech komodo blocks but extremely hard to come by in Europe. So probably ek acetal blocks.

They are extremely rare here. In the end I went with an xspc razor.

Mine only came with sleeping dogs until 5ub sorted out the rest of them for me.
 
Build quality is good. Does the job. Had my 7970 at 1330 core 1800 mem at 60 degrees.

I went for the one with the LEDs. They can be fidely to stay in.

Yep :(

Found one place that stocks them in the UK and they are out of stock so not holding my breath of them ever being back in stock. Quite cheap too, ~£100 for the block, backplate and single slot I/O, even has the thermal pads pre-fitted!

I don't know what it is but I don't like the look of the XSPC ones much, may look better in the flesh, though the backplate looks cheap (my hint for pics? ;)). The alphacool blocks are rancid.

No backplate on it. I'll take some pics tonight.

Would I have to drain the block to get a backplate on?
