*** League of Legends ***

I'm not playing on a lvl 30 account....
I am leveling on a different server...
I thought it was pretty obvious what advantage a lvl30 with hundreds of wins has over a lvl 21ish account.

9 mastery points.
full runes where as a lvl21 is likely to only have a few runes at best

It takes around 150 games or more to reach lvl21, by that time everyone has pretty much the knowledge of a lvl30... so i really have 0 advantage and im not playing on this server to pwn noobs like a true smurf does getitng his lvl 18-23 buddy to premade queue with him

If anyone wants to play a much better game I have some DOTA 2 keys.

If it's so good why do people from DOTA 2 keep trying to troll the LOL thread - not sure about anyone else in here but if anything it has the reverse affect.

How many lol players go to the DOTA 2 thread - 0 because its quite rude and tbh disrespectful on another games thread

BTW I have a couple of keys for DOTA 2 - can't get rid of them :D

Yeah, same.

I feel that DOTA2 is a great new game if you liked the original or HoN.
But IMO LoL has gone in a different direction, making them quite different.

That random new item that auto hits 2 minions on basic attack is really funny, tried a few games now with them and loving the aspd and slower levelling. Although now it takes longer to get gold so even harder to finish Caitlyn build q_q...

Seem to have hit a brick wall and getting frustrated with myself and the game.

Going to try and get a few games in this evening and see if I can get some improvement into my game and hope the team doesn't suck (which at my level, tends to be the case and I include myself in that hehe)

I found my brick wall was my annoyance at losing when I played well.
I just started focusing on my own performance, and ignoring wins or losses, because it mostly comes down to luck at having a good team or a bad opposing team at lower levels.

That's not what a smurf does. In addition queuing as a higher elo player with a lower elo player does not put you at their level. I think you simply grossly misunderstand the matchmaking system.

If he is playing against you he is the same skill level as you with those advantages. So it shouldn't pose a problem.

The best thing to do when you sit down to play this game solo is to make sure you have the right mindset.

You can either decide that you just want to have fun, then you pick whatever you want and play for the lulz and enjoy yourself regardless of the game outcome (because you went in expecting to lose anyway) *or* you decide that you want to practice something specific and go into a game to do just that. You play seriously and try your best to improve that specific piece of your gameplay (whether it's a champion, last hitting, new role, w/e). Then the outcome of the game also doesn't matter because you are not there to win, you are there to practice and there is always something you can improve upon.

There is no surer way to depress yourself and get frustrated then trying to win every game, playing to make your number bigger it's usually called. It's pointless and frankly just stupid when you truly think about it (since all it really is is an imaginary number for matchmaking purposes, it's only made more important then that by internet groupthink). Remember this is a video game at the end of the day, you play it because you enjoy it. Don't turn your leisure time into a chore :D

No I'm complaining the game is putting lvl 30s in games with lvl 21's.

But of course you cant level on a different server without smurfing...
The only advantage I have is knowledge of what champs do what which at this level pretty much everyone knows anyway.

That is also the only advantage a 2500elo player has over a 1200 elo player.

Went back to basics - blind pick, top/jungle and Riven. Took a more relaxed approach, one 3 lost 1 and had one of my best games ever (13/1/10).

Got my mojo again :P

Hey guys

I have been trying to play AD carry lately (usually play, and am much better at AP mid), and usually do poorly... I've uploaded a game where my lane lost quite badly where I was playing Caitlyn and was wondering if you could give me some specific advice (not just generic stuff like 'farm better' or 'don't die', but advice on how to farm better in the situation) on what kind of thing I need to do to play better. (I'm not level 30, so don't have good runes or full masteries)

Thanks

Think LoLReplay is broken when it comes to playing back replays in the very latest patch as it convinces itself the version number is too old, when it is in fact too new.

generally buying attack speed/crit as your first items on an AD carry isn't the best idea unless your playing someone like GP where parley crits hurt like hell even at the first few levels.

looks like you started to make phantom dancer as your first item, I always find it annoying when I'm playing support and the ADC has no damage because they are getting attack speed

If you'd be willing to sit in mumble with me and watch the game together I'd gladly run through stuff with you. It's very difficult to comment in text form about various things over the course of the game :D

What I will say though, if you just want to take one thing away from that video, is you need to focus on last hitting. For instance, you had 60 CS that game by 12 mins. Now I have a sample of one game, so I have no idea about what your average is, but considering you pretty much auto-attacked the wave for the whole game that's not bad (100 CS by 12 mins would be the average expected in a high skill game to give you something to go by for comparison). I imagine that if you focused on last hitting only, that is avoid auto attacking creeps until they are low enough for you to get the kill, you could easily improve a ton. Mastering or at least attempting to master last hitting wins games by itself in low skill games because it results in you having crazy amounts of gold over your opponents.

He went Infinity Edge into a Zeal (for what I assume was going to be a Phantom Dancer) with 2x Dorans and Zerker Greaves. That is a perfectly legitimate AD carry build and was by far the most optimal build in Season 2, although I'd probably pick up a Vamp Scepter at some point between the main items aswell.

S3 has changed this around quite a bit but I hardly expect him to be on top of all the itemization changes and optimize perfectly on the fly. Frankly I was surprised by how good his build was for the skill level of the game.
