I'm selling something on eGhey. The current high bidder is a new user with a score of 0, registered only today. Now, it's probably perfectly innocent but it set alarm bells off in my head. Should I be suspicious of this? Is this some kind of botting I'm not aware of or am I being paranoid?

Is the item high value?
Have they messaged you anything weird? (payment outside of ebay or paypal)?

I wouldn't worry until things such as the above start happening, everyone on ebay started 1 day with 0 feedback ;)

Make sure you make contact with the other bidders so that if 0 feedback fails you have something to fall back on without re advertising.

Maybe its just your stalker jumping at the opportunity to get into your bed :D

Its a collect from home bed, hardly the most common scammed items for new bidders!

Isn't there some kind of PayPal scam that they pay and come and collect the bed, then turn round and file a dispute saying you having sold them the bed?
PayPal ask you for "proof of delivery", which you can't give, so they get their money back.

If it's collection only, then I'd insist on cash.

Dont sell to 0 feedback bidders, I normally don't but this guy pleaded with me and gave me all his details, sold him something worth £250, 2 months down the line (about 4 days ago) I got an email from paypal saying the guy had initiated a chargeback via his credit card because it was an "unauthorised transaction".

Despite me having proof he messaged me before and after he bought the auction saying he was just about to pay and then he had paid, and the proof of delivery with him signing for it paypal found in his favour and I lost the item and the money.
