Really annoyed today so I am having a bit of a rant.

I had a call last week from a company who wanted to interview me for a job. They gave me under 24 hours which left things awkward at my temp job but I just about got away with it at the time.

The interview went very well and after less than an hour of the interview they had invited me back for a second with the MD and finance director on Monday. I went too that too and they said how impressed they were with me. They asked me to pop into see another member of staff on the Wednesday.

So for the third time I was called in and I met this member and the MD again. I did leave there feeling like the MD's attitude was different. She said how her mum was covering the job and she wanted to keep her until Christmas because of the wages etc. She promised to give me a call Thursday afternoon to let me know for definite.

Thursday I had another job hassling me for an interview so I explained the situation and they said call them by 11.a.m today if I still needed a job.

I never received any phone Thursday and sent them an email this morning asking what the situation was. I got no reply other than the HR lady asking me to call her on her mobile of which the number I do not have and never have been given. They now are ignoring my correspondence.

I ran the over job at 10:30 this morning to say I would be available for and interview but was told they had given that slot to somebody else. To top it off the agency has just rang me saying the temp job will end today due to the time off I had for the interviews.

It is my birthday tomorrow what a lovely early present aye.

Edit my ridiculous title typo.

Hold on, you make it sound like a big company with mention of HR, MDs and Finance people but then mention the MD didn't want to take the job of thier mum?

What company is this? lol

Well I am just giving you their job titles. It is a company of about 20 people on site but loads who work outside the office.

Interviews are two way streets, it's your opportunity to sound them out as much as it is their chance to assess you.

In this instance they've failed. Send them a letter that starts: "Thank you for your time during the interviews conducted last week, unfortunately you have not been successful in the pursuit of your position as employer at this time."

:D

Seems common practice for employers, shame you're not in the position to tell them to go **** themselves.
