Companies bad manners after interview.

Just got a call from them. The MD's mother wants to stay till March so there is no job.

I did politely tell them what the situation has done to me. I got a worthless apology but I was given an interview review of 'top notch', great.

That sucks  Good luck job hunting, with any luck the agency will have something for you soon.

Tbh, be glad you didnt get the job :)
Otherwise you were working there every day, and waking up in the morning for that ****

LOL MD's mother....

Your probably better off not working for a bunch of clowns

You should try to go above his head if there are shareholders etc and let them know what a first class **** is running the company

SOunds like you've been given an unfair runaround and the situation has been handled less than professionally.

I've worked in a couple companies and usually if they have a HR person/department then matters like these should be handled professionally and jobs shouldn't be advertised without a firm date for the job being available.

I've never had 3 interviews before for a job - so you are quite rightly to feel how you feel.

Put it behind you, have a great birthday and don't lose the enthusiasm to find another job. You understandably feel down today but get up tomorrow, put it behind you, have a good day with your family and continue the fight. :)

This, look at it from the aspect that you've dodged a bullet and like the others say enjoy your birthday. :)

Got so sick of finding myself in similar positions to the OP that it made me reflect on my life and where I thought I was going. That lead me to change careers for what I'm certain will be a much brighter future than I would have had where I was.

I suppose I should thank the various employers and recruiters that treated me so crappily over the years for giving me the incentive to sort my self out.

You didn't get the job, move on. Don't take it so personally.

It's not that I am taking it personally because I didn't get the job. It's the situation them messing me around has put me in. I have lost my temp job because of them and the chance of an interview with a company that probably was serious about a position.

They had the cheek to say to me I could re-apply in March when the Mother leaves, I declined.
