Is this really a rule or just something you personally dislike
It really is a fashion rule.
Well, in the UK it is. Just like you should never wear brown in town, blue and green should never be seen without a colour in between and button down collars are just stupid with a tie.
But then, look to the sultans of style (i.e. the Italians) and they'll take a dump all over these rules and still look **** hot doing it.

And updates that follow but as far as screen goes and the s-pen, really nice, the auto brightness is usable and comfortable while text is nice and sharp too.
I'm mostly liking how the s-pen is used though, it's got some really nice features!

Tough choice. Do you want to look stupid holding a tablet sized phone to your head when making calls or look like an Apple hipster? You chose the former...

The reviews (though they might just be Kindle reviews) suggest that Sherlock as been Americanised. Is that the case with your copy?

Well unless it's an attractive female.. and we all know what they say about blokes with big phablets Those reviews are for "a" Kindle edition. I've seen the words favourite, colour and cheque so I guess it's ok.
I got it for the bargain price of £12.50 as a book of the day offer from Blackwells so it's worth shopping around for.

I don't care really. I do think those oversized phones look stupid and personally wouldn't own one...but each to their own.

Yes it's a big phone and that would be one of its drawbacks but it is also one of it's biggest assets. Big screen easier on the eyes i dont have to squint looking at web pages, less zooming and scrolling. I'm not buying it for looks and i dont give two hoots what people will think of it. It's got a Wacom Stylus, i can draw big boobies, i'm a happy bunny.
