Looking to buy a H100i but obviously little nervous about a Water-cooling system.

I've heard that Corsair will replace other components that are damaged due to leaks e.t.c caused by their water-coolers. From what I've heard it's only been in the USA that they have carried this out.

Can anyone shed some light on whether they operate a similar service in the UK and how good they are for CS.

Thanks,

James

Their policy is world wide, but as far as i know its done on a case by case basis. You should check their forums as im sure this was asked there.

I was under the impression that the silver arrow could cool your 3930K passively (or at 500ish RPM)?

It's been a while since I looked at benchies, so forgive any mistakes

E: Sorry, can't find the specific test with a 3930K and high end air vs H100. It may have been a 2600k they tested, but, when noise was taken into consideration,t here was virtually no difference

imho, despite being a H80i user (and happy at that) I would not go for the H100i. If you insist on the H100i I'd wait til all the issues are ironed out. By the way things are going on the corsair forums that won't be too long a wait. Otherwise: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-004-NX&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=2262
As for CS - second to none ;)

I can wait currently running Air.

CS is most important to me, its the reason I shop at OCUK, most of the time pay a little more but the CS makes that premium worth it 100%.

Epic corsair CS is one thing, but not having to use it in the first place would be even better :p

I honestly don't believe that the H100 will be a worthwhile investment over a silver arrow if you already have one. You're essentially throwing £60 away

Have you managed to determin the cause for your silver arrow being louder than expected?

I know one reason is the left side of my case is mostly mesh with a thin steel frame.

But i've heard a H100i is much cooler than a Silver Arrow. I wouldn't be wasting the Silver Arrow, I would be giving it to my dad for his new build.

You can't get the security you want from a custom loop as it is your risk, so that's out. The H100i gives you the best security you are going to get, although as others have noted Corsair have changed their stance and it appears to be limited liability.

TBH I don't have a problem with that; it's unrealistic to expect Corsair to cover the high end kit we all use when the H100i is £90. I mean if I buy a washing machine it will come with limited liability and if after a couple of weeks it leaks and damages my property my house insurance covers it.

If you go with the H100i set it up and check it for leaks as you would a custom water loop. i.e. 24 hour close checking followed by once a day for the first week.
