yup it does look sexy in red :) although im getting a black cover that lets the red show through in certain parts, which i think looks quite cool..

@ firehawk, sorry to hear your handset is faulty if thats the case.... going back a little, you got the red 920 3 weeks ago, would have not been easier and cheaper to keep the red handset and pay the price of unlocking? also your using an ee simcard as youve stated here, so you could have used it with the red 920 from p4u

yup i found it but it wont work on the lumia because of the resolution.... balls..

and apparently thrid party apps cannot be made to track usage yet because the internal api isnt available to developers yet.

thats a little annoying... its little things and apps like that, on a smartphone people really need, they should really sort it out :P

hey dane. the problem was that p4u missold me the phone. so its about principal here and secondly who would know how long it would take for an unlocker to be available and that unlocker from the site is expensive and no guarentees to work.... better to do it properly than not you know?
and besides, i was travelling abroad so to use an EE sim would cost me a lot of money in terms of roaming charges, would rather pop a local simcard in my phone and if i still retain the p4u device then it wouldnt work since its locked only to EE/orange/t-mobile.
 
Yes. Even popped into my ee store for them to try another sum, same issue. Phone reboots endlessly with the sim card ion but works fine on my other phone
 
Hey Guys.
I got my Nokia Lumia 920 from clove today. I have a bit of a problem. Whwn I connect the phone to the laptop, it directs me to the Windows phone website for me to download the windows app for transfer of media into the phone. But when I install the app into my laptop, I get a message saying .Net Framework 4.0? Please Advise?

Do you have the .net framework installed?

If not, try this link and get it from there:

Even if you have it installed, it might be that the installation isnt perfect, so reinstalling it might work.

Other then that, it may be a well known problem for all i know!
 
I had the same problem as you and downloaded from the Microsoft website as the other guys have advised but it took three attempts to install the new framework but it did it in the end. Then you're good to go.
 
I'm finding the high sensitivity setting ideal for the touch screen...it's cold and the touch screen works amazingly well with my gloves on...terrific :)

Loving being back on Windows Phone again...everything simply...well...works! :)
 
Phone arrived from Clove today... as a guy who loves Android, and also has a 4s (thro work) I can honestly say....wow. I love it. And I know it is going to get better too! :D

One thing .... I have a few albums added to 'My Music' on Windows 8...but they are not appearing in Music on my phone??? What's with that?

Fortunately i have found Gooroovster to access my main library on Google Play :D

Did you use explorer and drop them into the right folder?..silly things but just making sure. They should list themselves with any album art into it.
 
Hey Guys, 1 more question. Do we have to put the sim into the phone to create a microsoft account in the phone? My sim is not micro, so I ll have to cut it down and make it. I have nt done it yet. Was checking out online features using wifi. When I went to make the account, in the last step it says cant connect, try again later. I have tried it quite a few times. Same message everytime. Sim is the issue? Help!
 
So I went to 4 EE shops yesterday in attempt to buy a white 920 on pay as you go. 2 didn't have them in stock, the other 2 had them but as soon as I said I would take it on pay as you go they looked a bit stunned and said sorry can't do that. They said that they were contract ones and couldn't sell them pay as you go. One guy even said the white was only available on contract (which is obviously bs). Is this the experience other people are having? I understand that sale guys want to sell contracts because they make a lot more commission but can they really hold stock like this? I find it hard to believe that they can't just swap in a pay as you go sim and sell it as such..

I had this problem. The phone pulls the time through your sim. Until I had manually set the time correctly, I could not connect and got the error msg.

Maybe you are having the same issue?

I remember having that answer from EE too, I think they'll stick to contract for now. Why not go through Phones4u?
