Got mine delivered this morning, at first I was like wtf when I started using it, after using android minutes before.

What's the must have apps?

no.... that sim card i had was working fine for a month when i got it.

ring EE, i have read a lot of problems with the EE network, where customers are reporting EE keep barring the the sim cards for no reason, and they have to ring up to get it fixed.

dont blame the phone mate, evan if its a faulty phone, it cant make a sim card "dead". im nearly 100% certain your problem is network related.

I don't know how it made the sim dead but im telling you that's what happened.

@peew....yes I uploaded a YouTube video and shared sink earlier somewhere in this thread. That was a p4u version which I returned.

I'll call Clove on monday

No need yet maybe

Take the sim out and then turn the phone on. It will boot to Windows and you will be able to use it without logging in to any Microsoft services via the setup screen. This will prove that the phone is OK.
If you can do that, then you know it is a problem with the SIM and you can pop down to the shop and beat someone for ruining your new 920 moment. :p
If it doesn't boot into windows, then you know it is a phone problem. Then ring clove

What's the most convenient way of sharing a video on my Lumia 920 to another phone - like an iPhone. I use WhatsApp and I know you cannot send videos as it currently isn't supported. I also don't want to do it via SkyDrive or Social websites...

You can't send it as an MMS and also is there a way I can control the quality of the video when I send it via Email? I cannot see that option.

Is there anything similar to AirDroid for WP8??? That's something I really miss.

Just wondering....those that have taken deliveries from Clove, what is your status in the Royal Mail tracking? Does it say delivered or delayed until Monday but got delivered anyway?

I can only imagine how annoying it must be to get the phone and then not be able to use it, cant really think of how that could have happened seeing the SIM was fine in another phone.

Was there any truth in that whole 'it locks to the network from where the sim came from' in the end?

Am going to have to cut my sim card down, and want to give it a go on an old o2 card before hacking my voda one up..but dont want the phone to lock to o2!

Google 2-stepVerification with 920

Hi,
Anyone managed to get their google account added with 2-step verification working?
I just get an 'Attention Required' message underneath the google account in the accounts list, but it never asks for the verification code?

Edit : Sorted it....forgot some devices need an app specific pw set up explicity!

Cheers

I'm after news/social related apps

Also what's a good third party twitter app for WP?
News:
If you use Google Reader, try NextGen Reader or Wonder Reader. If not, Fuse is recommended (especially now that Pulse pulled out of WP).
If you just want an RSS Reader, try RSS Central. As usual, all these apps have free trials. Then you have the usual suspects, Guardian, Metro, New York Times, BBC (not official but very good), etc.
The best Wikipedia app is the one by Rudy Huyn if you want one of these. He's also the developer for Fuse.
Social:
The official twitter client is ok I guess but plenty of 3rd party clients do a better job. You'll have to try and pick a favourite between Rowi, Mehdoh, Metweets and Gleek. As of right now I think Metweets is the more optimised for WP8.
If you use Foursquare, you need to get 4th and Mayor rather than the official app (which is good but not as good).
The official Facebook app is ok but notifications don't seem to work. I mostly use the People hub for facebook actually.
For YouTube, definitely use MetroTube.

Anything else you're after?

On my L900 I could share videos via whatsapp but it seems they're making it worse with each update. Although I haven't tried it, I would thing the best solution would be to share via a Skydrive link maybe. Dunno.
