Does the upgrade from the i5 to the i7 worthy for gaming? Is there a noteable difference from the models above?

The Laptop i5s are duel cores with hyper threading, while the laptop i7s are quad cores with hyper threading. So as long as the games you are playing can use the extra cores there will be an improvement.

What graphics cards do they have as that may be more of a limitation than the CPU?

The benchmarks seem ok for it though, its always high fps on medium and high settings

Depends on res.... That GPU will breeze through most games at 768p, no problem.
