At one point you could use a custom resolution but think that might of been patched out for some crazy reason.
 
Was on the same page, unfortunately if you read on its been patched so if you have it on Steam you are out of luck. Ultimately that means you are stuck at 4:3 aspect, which I guess isn't too bad as that is how the game was designed to be run.

"This fix works only for versions 1.2 and 1.3. This will NOT work for Steam version because it is patched to 1.51. You can still use this fix and get game run in your native resolution, but game will be in 4:3 with black bars on sides."

It's a UK seller and no VPN mentioned so I would imagine they are valid in the UK. Having said that, I believe simply games are a registered UK seller anyway.

Simplygames are UK, i've bought a few keys from them, both delivered within 10 minutes and worked fine.

Can't fault them what-so-ever.
