Hey, my audio cable that came with my ageo M's has bitten the dust sadly after it got man handled a little too much over the last 4 years. Anyways, I'm looking around the internet and I just don't know what to get to replace it. There are a lot of cables at all different prices and I'm well aware that some are grossly overpriced and some are probably cheap rubbish.

So, long story short:

2xRCA to 3.5mm for my Ageo M's. What brand to get? Only need about 2m and not looking to spend a fortune. OCUK are claiming to stock a cable but it doesn't actually appear on the cable list.

Fisual and Loops are very good, if you want a well made but reasonably priced branded cable. Personally, I'd just get an unbranded one. There won't be any sound quality difference. There are some on the famous auction site which are of good quality.

Marsman makes a point, but I usually go for the cheapest branded one. You're guaranteed a level of quality which you might (but might not) get from generic.

The above, and Cambridge Audio, QED, and Chord are worth a look (not the silly money models).

I have FAT Tech-Link WiresCR ones, bought from local shop for £15 for 2 metres.

Heavy cable and quality terminations without being lolpriced.

OP just do what Marsman says, get an unbranded cable for around £5. Spending anymore than that would be just a waste of money.

Check out Mark Grant, reasonably priced and fantastic quality.

+1. I've got several of his cheapest offerings and they're good. Although he's gone a bit more "high end" recently.

It's a personal choice, but if you've got £hundreds of kit it seems stupid to me to get a no-name Chinese cable to connect them for the sake of £5-10. Decently priced, quality cables will last forever and have as good SQ as anything.

This isn't the same as getting more expensive cables for more expensive kit though, that's clearly a waste of money. E.g. a twice as expensive amp doesn't need a twice as expensive cable.

If you are paying more than £5 for an rca to 3.5mm cable to connect to computer speakers you are been conned.

But it is a personal choice of course.
