You'd be far better off in the mobile and tablet form.

Kind of depends what you want.
3 main catogries
Arm - only runs metro apps, long battery life, lightest and smallest package
Atom - middle of the road slightly larger, but runs all windows software
I3/i5/i7 - most powerful, but large, heavy and "poor" battery life in comparison to the other two.
I'm pretty sure OcUK had a samsung tablet running win8 pro at the shop opening day? It was about £700 from what the rep told me. Was a bit on the weighty side, but that's to be expected with the hardware it was running. I have to say it was very cool.
