Can't Connect to Origin?

I'm trying to play Fifa but I can't seem to go online in Origin it just says I am currently offline but when I click Go Online nothing happens. Anyone else having problems with it? :confused:

I did recently format my hard drive could that be the problem?

Yeah I am having exactly the same problem. Origin thinks I am offline lol. I click on 'Go Online' and nothing happens. I had to type my password aswell.
