Its a long story... A Facebook story!
My friend had his phone stolen about a year ago, during that period his facebook account got hacked, I'm guessing using some combination of the phone and a computer. They changed his passwords, On both his facebook and his hotmail account.
My friend saw his old account as a lost cause and set up a new account, and ignored the old one.
Fast forward to the present, my friend was taken into custody on allegations of indecent messages, and exposure via webcam.
This all being done, via his old account. An account he didnt even know was still up and running(Due to being blocked)
Now my friend has had all his electronic devices taken, Xbox 360, PS3 and his mobile phone.
He does not own a PC of any type, And he has never even had an internet connection in his home!!
He's due back in the police station on the 21st December, to find out if he's being charged.
Whats pathetic is the account in question was accessed and used just a week ago, to send some quite naughty messages to one of his friends. Surely if the police are investigated all of this, the account in question shouldnt still be active!?
Tonight I decided I was a bit fedup with the fact no one actually seems to be trying to clear his name. So I sent a request off to hotmail, to get access back to the hotmail account that I know is associated with his hacked facebook account.
Things my friend himself should have done, but he's not all that great with computers.
I just hate the fact that so far it feels like the police have done nothing other than take his stuff. And the things taken arent even capable of doing what he's accused of. Webcam?? On a phone? On an Xbox without Kinect? on a PS3 without an Eye?
Best bit, is the officer in charge of this investigation against him, can never be reached!!
