I'm off to the Three Valleys (Val Thorens) over New Years. Just a quick question about lift passes - if I order them now, are they delivered to me, or do I need to go to the lift pass office to collect them?

Stupid question I know, but it's the first time I've bought lift passes individually rather than going through the travel agent.

Also, if anyone knows somewhere cheaper to get passes than the Val T website, let me know :)

Thanks!

I've always picked them up from the office of whatever resort I was staying in but it's been a few years since I've been. Will Gill is the resident ski whore, I'm sure he'll be able to tell you.

Cool, looks like the office is next door to my accomodation, and I'll be in the resort around 2pm the day before I start skiing, so it would be easiest to collect them from there. I just want to make sure that they don't get delivered to my flat while I'm at my parents' or something really silly.

I've got a ski pass that can be charged anywhere in the French alps apparently, you just top it up at whichever resort you go to.

Oh cool - how do you get that?!

I bought it in La Toussuire last time, from the resorts main tourist information. Didn't actually mean too, I just bought my ski pass for the entire area (Les Sybelles), and they said that the card can be used anywhere in the French Alps that the ESF are present (might be a joint venture with them perhaps?).

There are three places to get them in VT. Main gondola lift on the main slope under the hotels. The Tourist Information office that's in between the Hotel Village Montana and the Hotel Le Cheval Blanc. The Tourist Information office in the main square (Opposite "Ski Food" burger hut).

If you have old ones (previous years P@S cards) then you can recharge them online.

I'll be there on the 5th of Jan :)
