Doesn't hot water also freeze faster than cold?
Not in the time it takes for wipers to clear it.

Sit in the car while it warms up and take it like a man.

Apparently hot water can freeze quicker than cold.
If you wash a car in the cold you are better off using cold water. (I do anyway even if it's warm)
You leave your car running on the drive while you drive your house to work?

Fill empty 2 litre coke bottle with lukewarm water (same temperature as your hand)
Start engine, turn on heated seats and screens
poor water over windows + turn windscreen wipers on
get into car
realise the inside of the windscreen is also frozen
wait a few minutes for the inside to defrost, by which time the outside has refrozen.
rant to self...
eventually drive to work.
I do this too
Only takes about a minute and I'm good to go. I'd not dare leave engine running and go inside where I live.
