Just out of curiosity, it is worth buying this game second hand?

I have no idea about how it's authenticated and the security systems used by Origin?

The game is tied to the user's Origin account so unless you're buying someones account you won't be able to buy used. The basic game can be picked up fairly cheaply minus the various map packs.

Having had a quick look a key can be picked up for as little as £12.

BF4 beta not due till like Oct 2013, BF3 premuim is worth the little extra imo

I also think it's worth the extra for premium, it really adds to the game. Close quarters is intense and gun game is fast paced also, just how I like it
Haven't played aftermath yet but heard it's the best yet!

Dont buy it second hand, i've seen it for about £10 new, and premium has lowered a lot in price and is worth the extra.

No-one knows, but you can get BF:3 Premium Edition for like £18 with a code.

I've managed to get my hands on a download copy for less than £2, will give it a go
