Hello, just after some advice on what to do!

I bumped into the corner of a toyota corolla gli 1993 (k reg) and the damage is seen here in these pictures...

Swapped details and basically agreed it would be better to get it fixed outside of insurance. Found a new front light for £6.50 but struggling to find the bumper, i cant find any online!

Im thinking of getting the parts then taking it to garage for repair even though i know i could do it myself with the help of my friend.

Any advice would be great

Why do you need a new bumper?

What about getting it resprayed etc?

do you think a respray will be cheaper? im still a little shocked as only happened 15 minutes ago at bottom of my street!

Yea bumper looks intact, a body shop will be able to clean that up.

Any ideas on price of respray? obviously depends where you go but a rough ball part figure would be great

You could just back the gap with some torches

I should clean up ok as long as none of the fixing points are broken, even then a lot of stuff can be plastic welded.

So looking around google at the cost of bumper resprays its coming up with prices from £100 - £200 If only i could salvage a bumper of the same color/year!

I think it's fair to assume the owner probably would just take the money and leave the bumper, it's an old Corolla after all.

£120-150 will be about right. You could always phone round some scrap yards and try your luck but tbh I doubt there'll be anything there for you.

As above if the light is sorted I would imagine the owner won't really care about the bumper, but you should offer £120 for them to get it painted should they wish

Was about to mention them, saw them doing some work while I was waiting for the wife to finish work and was very impressed with the results.

Surely they'll just get it fixed and send you the bill.

Just buy them a new light and ask if they will take £150 for paint repairs? upto them if they decide to get it fixed then.

I know but if its enough to settle the incident without the hassle of insurance companies then thats what i would do.
