*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

Podolski is good up front for me with Reus in my german sqaud, Gotze at CAM is a tasty and quite pace front 3.

Still can't get away from my first love Italian team. No matter which 2nd squad I make up, I always go back to:

3-5-2

-----------Marchetti-----
Ogbonna ----Chiellini----Barzagli (or Campangnaro)
---Vidal-----De Rossi-----
Giovinco-----Cassano------Maggio
----Pato------Cavanni------

Love Love Love them.

I love my 352 Italians too. I have very similar team bar strikers and hamsik at CAM.

How deluded are some people on fifa.

Playing some guy and he hits me on the counter with Remy after 6 mins, I go and equalise straight away, then go on to score 4 more and he rage quite after 33 mins, then messages me saying I a lucky mother******, how on earth does that even work?>

Is there anything more frustrating than losing to a **** player with a woeful team when it's raining with an awful connection?

Just started UT and I'm going to try keep at this year, just a few questions:

Starting to build a good team which route should I take/which is cheaper. Prem league/Spanish league/German etc?

I know it's dependant on how you player but what's the most popular formation - so I don't have to buy as many formation cards.

I'm currently thinking of going premier league with something like a 4-1-2-1-2

Yes. Losing to a turd player with a woeful team, woeful chem, when it's raining, using a grey ball, with an awful connection- after being 3-0 up at half time. This could go on :p

in one of those stadiums where half of the players, and the ball, disappear when they enter the shadows? :p

41212 is the most expensive formation in the game so maybe try 4312 or 4321 to start off with. Make sure all players you buy are in the correct formation and position.

build 2 teams EPL and Serie A

Make sure the EPL team has M'Bia and Kaboul as the 2 CB's

and

Make sure the Serie A team has Gamberini and Ogbonna as the 2 CB's

This will be the cheapest way to build a solid team my suggestions would be:

Djibril Cisse

Gervinho - Sturridge

Fellaini - Mikel - Tiote

Enrique - Kaboul - M'Bia - Johnson

any 80-82 rated keeper who is tall

Muriel --- Hernandez

------- Moralez --------

Zanetti - Vidal - Nocerino

Nagatomo - Gamberini - Ogbonna - Jonathon/Konko

Handonavic

How about managing to get put against an 87 rated team.........

with terrible chemistry, all their players on low fitness that they keep pulling up, then beating the guy 8-0.

I suppose so of it can be quite pleasing :)

Sonny you clearly struggle to remember when you first started the game with about 1000 coins :p

Those teams are probably beyond a new starter to UT (unless you spend some money) - you are more likely looking at discard value players (under 1k) for your first team :)

1000 coins won't get any more than 3 players, he never gave us a budget to work off and when he said 41212 i assumed he must have "some" coins

Interested to know what you think - personally I found Rooney woeful in every position. Like RvP and arguably Messi, to an extent, for some reason his best attribute seems to be his passing? :/

Played about 10 games with him, now sold. Says a lot.

Good dribbling/accel/passing for sure. Tracks back a lot which lead to my midfield being super-solid in most of his 10 games. Didn't score 1 goal, probably down to being very far away from the goal area most of the times, teriffic shots though, hit the bar 3 times iirc.

To be completely honest, Dembele and Ballotelli do a much better job at CAM for me.

Gotta say though, RVP is immense. Could do with a little more pace, but nigh on always in the right place, and that left foot is special.

Ended up buying IF defoe to complement, sent off first game :/

14k will get you a relatively good team. Also, if players are too expensive in whichever formation you choose you can always get the same player in a similar formation (4411 instead of 442, for example) if they are that much cheaper; as long as you don't do it for everyone you should still have 100 chemistry at the end.

Thanks sonny

I've got around 14k coins so going to work from that.

Build 2 teams with Mbia plus Kaboul and Ogbonna plus Gamberini as the 2 CB's.

Fill the rest of the positions up with players costing 250-300 coins.

To buy a gold player @ 250 you have to use buy it now (do not bid) and be extremely quick as the discard value is 300.

You can usually bid 300 on some 75/76 rated golds or buy it now.

Then when the 250/300 coin player has zero contracts, discard them and buy them again, never ever put a contract card on them, discard and buy again.

Repeat the above until you have 20K coins spare (as well as the above 4 CB's), then build similar teams to the ones I have posted above, should only take you about 20-30 games in seasons mode

Short of actually pulling 2 or 3 Messi's in packs and selling them for a song, how on earth do people build up 3m+ coins???

Could be some money is no object types who buy FUT packs/coins en masse. 3m FUT coins to buy would cost £450 though!
