BMW M6 GRAN COUPE

It looks kinda nice but that's a serious amount of money. I assume a car tailored towards status/ego mad business execs?

I'd rather a GTR tbh.

They are completely different cars but I agree.

One is awesome and one of the fastest point-to-point cars money can buy.

One is a luxurious grand-tourer aimed at people who have more money than sense. A lot of them wouldn't even consider a GTR as they'd be the laughing stock of their friends because it's a Nissan and everyone knows they're the Tesco Value of Supercars (whilst simultaneously being the Tesco Finest of High performance cars :D)

Basically what I'm saying is a GTR is awesome and fun but it's not really the sort of car a snobby business exec wants to turn up to some fancy do in to turn heads.

Why even mention the GTR in this?

Panamera Turbo yes.... GTR, No!

That statement was based on the upon the overall responses within this thread.

I doubt such a topic would be made for a 100k+ Merc coupe.

Anyone have anything to say about the SL63AMG?

Thought I'd check out the Merc website (I hate Mercs).

Whilst the M6 looks great I think I'd rather go for a C63 AMG for 60k. 100k for this BMW is pretty ridiculous.

Why mention the SL63 AMG? It's a 2-door convertible which looks pretty amazing tbh (although 110k?)

Only used the SL because it too is a coupe.... Perhaps it would've been better to compare it to Merc's E Class.

The natural rival for it is the CLS AMG - similar idea of saloon/coupe mix, performance and £80k+ price tag.

The failing of it isn't really one of the M6 as such, but of the regular 6-series Gran Coupe looking like its just a facelifted 5 series.
