Weight Increasing - Not Gaining Muscle

Well guys up to 150lbs now and still going strong on the 5000kcal a day diet, feeling very very good at the moment. Strength is really going through the roof! Just did my first 80kg Bench press and 340kg leg press!

Heres an update pic.

Not surprised really. You're unbelievably lacking in fat, and chances are with that much swimming you will keep lacking in fat.

If you eat enough you'll build muscle. Hell, if you eat enough the swimming will build muscle, hence why I suspect one of the biggest gains is your shoulders. Chest should be bulking out still though...

Well I am keeping up the eating and hopefully it will keep going well! Good thing is with Xmas coming up the cals are getting easier and easier to get it seems!! :D

My chest had slightly increased in size though I believe as thats the only comments I get really. Well something must have changed as the 10lbs has had to go somewhere haha

Exactly :D
Thankfully that will be a little while yet (last nights dinner suit was 44" trousers, 52" jacket n waistcoat!)

Well the weight gain seems to be slowing down now, which is odd as my calories are still the same lol. I do feel tighter though, feel if anything that I have lost some fat from my waist! very weird feeling to have gained weight but feel like I have lost fat lol.

Everyone stalls eventually or else we'd all look like the pros :p You either need to mix your work outs up to shock your body into growth or increase kcals.

Lol anymore than 5500kcals per day and I dont know if I could :P. Hmm well actually it is Xmas and those Quality Street are calling haha

Change around your workout, i.e.:

Front squats for back squats...
Snatch grip deadlifts for regulars...
Ohruonga dips (?) or whatever they're called instead of regulars, etc...

Do the /alternative' workout for a couple of weeks and then go back into the fray with your existing regime.

If you are gaining weight then you need to up your kcal to take into account your BMR which will have risen along with the lean mass gain.

So.... Eat more :)

Don't forget how much extra weight your legs and glutes will carry after plenty of work :) you might not visually notice the change, but I bet you can shift more weight
