Ok basically over the last few months ive been in dispute with a company over what payments have been showing on my account. Basically ive been paying £20 a month but only £10 has been showing on my account. I think the agent has been stealing. I dont have a payment card so cant prove this. I now make payments online so i know my full payments are credited to my account.

I sent them a letter asking for a copy of my statement and a copy of my credit report. I borrowed £500 but to me it looks like the figures have all been doctored, it looks like £600 now and the interest figures have been changed as well. Also where it says customer name it looks like its been changed again but now has the surmane sargent ( not my surname  )

Im sure there trying to diddle me here. Im inclined to offer them £1 a month and let them take me to court because i dont think that credit agreement will stand up in court considering how doctored its been.

Surely you will have the other part or a copy of the agreement and therefore will be able to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that it has been amended without your permission?

You have your original copy? Send them a copy of it and ask to confirm why they are not showing that as your agreement?
With no agreement you don't need to pay them anything do you?

I've got to agree that looks dodgy as anything and the fact it's no longer in your name sort of nullifies any agreement they try to prove with it.

I dont have my copy hence the reason for asking them for a copy. Its almost as if theyve tried to airbrush out someone elses details and paste mine on the top as i can almost make out another address underneath mine, 19 something.

Is that your signature?

that image looks very much like multiple form paper, where you write on the top copy and then this is carbon copied onto the sheets below. it could possibly be that they were stupid enough to start writing another form over yours, hence why it looks doctored. nonetheless, the whole thing looks dodgy as hell.

You're not the guy on the form. Demand the money back and for an explanation as to why you are paying someone else's debt.

Err...Might want to remove your phone number on there. ID theft anyone?

Looks like triplicate paper and probably not doctored. You need to dig out your original copy.
It's a good idea to keep track of these things...as you're finding out right now. GL.

Edit: ...you seemingly don't have your copy. My last sentence applies even moreso.

Why would they have multiple copies of YOUR agreement?

Chalk this down to experience and carry on paying. This is why you should keep the original copies of EVERYTHING should there be a dispute.

You need to find your copy. It looks they have used a carbon copy and just written over it, as the original writing looks too light and patchy.

I don't think it's been said yet so I'd say that it is probably triplicate carbon paper and you should dig out your own copy.

Foolish in the extreme.

You think you're being defrauded somehow so you freely stick all your personal info up on a public forum...

Honestly amazes me.

Its only my address as my phone numbers changed. I couldnt really illustrate how i think its been changed if i blanked it out
