FEAR, that was a huge shame
Painkiller.....lack of money/ too many amateur mods
Duke Nukem...just crap
GRAW....had Good potential, but it was never quite right was it
Crysis.....struggling on
Borderlands....struggling on
far Cry..........struggling on
Bioshock.... yes ok it's different, but it's still a wee bit similar to the first two
They've ruined that too now.
This is just such a stupid stupid argument, even if partially right.

It's boring. It's popcorn gaming. Tells you what to do every step of the way, and punishes you when you deviate. On rail gaming, predictable, stereotypical, not really engaging.
It's a bit like Michael Bay versus Christopher Nolan.
Come to think of it, that would be a good Epic Rap Battle Of History....
COD doesn't influence other developers, because they realise the game is just as **** as we do, they definitely dont copy it, COD is just a side branch on the FPS family tree, it's the poisoned branch that needs a chain saw and while you're at it you can cut off BF3 too 
COD/BF3 is just dumbed down linear squad based whatever and appeals to the ``great mass`` because the developers dont care if it's rubbish, they're after a quick buck only, therefore the game is lame and easy to play, it's not a pain in the arse like VEGAS 2 TERRORIST HUNT, now anyone that can play this very well definitely gets my admiration !!
therefore COD hasn't ruined other games.... at all, not even starting to, because other games are ruined because they dont realise what made their 1st game so good, so they try something else and screw it up.....e.g Far Cry 2 or FEAR 2

the only game i play that has definitely got better over the years is Serious Sam, all the rest are the same as, or slightly worst..... the same is good enough for me though, it has to be, because if i get fussy then there's nothing worth playing.
i.e it's pretty bloody obvious that Crysis 3 wont be that great, it'll be the same as the 2nd game wont it....... just add a few more plants and a bow and arrow

Just thank Kickstarter for pushing forward lesser known titles and getting the support from people who want to see smaller development come forth. A lot of those games would never have seen light other wise given the way big companies want to go.

This thread stupid, I thought that we were going to see some real poor games like the 2012 Revelations game. But it turned into "I don't like it", this game so it must be avoided. BF3, Far Cry3?? come on.

I was the complete opposite! Loved the co-op.
The main one for me is NFS:MW. In the end I resisted the urge and didn't pick it up which really isn't like me.
Not because it is a bad game, but I knew that I just don't have enough time to play all the games I keep buying. So I was sensible and left it. I will pick it up in a sale in the future though.

I had low expectations but really enjoyed it, was well worth the £7.49 i paid for it.
