***The Official HTC Butterfly Thread ***

True, personally when it comes to android handsets, I would only ever consider Samsung (only their high end phones like the GS 2, GS 3 though as their mid range phones are crap and don't get good support) and HTC (only their high and mid range phones), possibly Motorola as well now, but they are always behind schedule for the UK with releases and I don't think it is worth waiting for months for their devices over the flagship for HTC and Samsung.

Probably won't be getting the nexus 4 now, seems more like a side/down grade overall from the S (still a lovely phone though and can't go wrong for the price), so will wait for this and see if Samsung bring anything out to match it.

The only thing that would stop me from getting another HTC device is the way they go about software updates and releasing a different version of the main phone like every month :mad:

Looks like it's avaible to pre order online. No prices or when it will be released is known yet.

I really hope it comes out on Three

I really like the specs of the M7 though - oh the dilemna!

Just rumours at the moment. I can't see the sense in bringing out 2 phones (M7 and Butterfly) at the same time unless one differs significantly from the other. It'll need to be a bit special to top the Butterfly's spec sheet in a meaningful way to be honest.
 
This looks nice, but I'm not sure on htc stuff still.

The problems I've had with my Desire and Sensation XE I think have put me off for a while at least... :s

A spokesperson from HTC has been in touch, and told us: "As far as we know there are no plans to bring it [the HTC Butterfly] to the UK."

Surely HTC can't get things this wrong?
 
I have the impression the Butterfly is merely here to tide us over until the M7's knockout blow to Samsung's Galaxy IV

Edit: or they skip the Butterfly completely
 
I can't be waiting this long :( need a new toy!

The "M7" wouldn't likely be released until what ... late February / March sometime - that's just too darn long - I'd be more than happy with the Butterfly!

Heeeyyy its HTC they get the most basic things wrong! Its like they do it on purpose lol
 
Been reading an articleon the pphones battery life. It's not good enoughfor me . I was havinga look as my nexus is doing my head in wwith a shoddy 4.2 OS update.. Shame on you Google.. And ability to last about 2 minutes per % point with screen on
