This. Goes to show how much of a pointless thread this is.
For example, there has been a lot of hate for MOH, when I actually enjoyed it. It's all down to personal taste in the end.
Learn some punctuation before insulting people on the forum

If that were the case why are there scores/ratings for games? People like to know what the majority think. Granted some people might like it some hate it. Either way people are allowed to express their opinions otherwise the game market would be even worse than it is now!

I've never really enjoyed the call of duty games, bought the very first call of duty, as in the world war 2 one when the series first started, and thought it was a poor relative to the excellent at the time medal of honour.
I tried Cod 4, it was ok, I tried black ops, thought it was terrible and that's where I am with it.
I'm sure the fact that millions of other people love it makes up for the fact that I don't!
I do however think we get a little lost in this argument about dumbing down and consolitis infecting FPS shooters, there is after all only so much you can do with them.
Add too much or do something stupid like adding degrading weapons and they simply become a chore to play, I don't want fetch quests in an FPS, I don't need to go looking for keys in an FPS, I've got an underslung 40mm grenade launcher, I can open any door I want!
What we need less of is respawning enemies, dumb ass AI, regenerating health, enemies that take half a mag to kill, on rails sections, mounted turret sections, escort missions, stealth missions, sniper missions, and rescue hostages missions.

The thing is, ratings aren't always a good thing to go by. Especially as the new COD got over 90's all over the board. That **** ain't right!!
Most ratings sites are far too scared to score a massive game like COD below 90.
I'd personally like it to go back to it's roots & return to WW2 or maybe even the Korean War ditch the killstreaks/deathstreaks, give us a brand new engine & for Multi-player focus on team play not running & gunning.

usually they increase the AI health to make the game more of a challenge, but it should be the other way around..... decreased, plus with you as well, so it's one head shot or 2 body shots and you die.
so say you're playing COD, when a sniper shoots you, you die instantly, in fact you die without hearing the shot fired, as if your pc has suddenly black screened, this makes the game an utter bitch to play, but it teaches you to use cover and it also makes the game more tactical and mentally challenging..... this would scare off all the dumb arsed console idiots.
e.g you charge from building to building with your squad mates, or run down the street with them...NO YOU'D DIE, because if you try something as silly as this in real life you'd either be shot dead from the surrounding buildings by snipers, or blown up by IEDs.
there's far too many silly shooters around, they're ok but only if you have tactical shooters to play as well; to balance out the Genre....... unfortunately Sniper Elite 2 and GRAW 3 are Junk, just as bad as COD/BF3.
e.g Berlin or Stalingrad WW2, you'd die as soon as you stuck your head out of a shattered window to look down the street, he'd kill you instantly even without telescopic sights!!!!
because to get out of that building you'd need to retreat the way you came and out flank that guy on his blind side, put up a tin helmet to draw his fire etc etc. that sniper will wait there watching you for flipping hours, you can not leave that building in his view and you can not look out the window either to see where he is.
this to me would be a great game, but no we got Sniper Elite V2 instead, where he just walks down the street shooting people right out in the open.... ha ha

GOG re-released the original this year too, chances are its probably outsold the ea reboot you are refering to (lol)
now you're talking, as i said lets make the games as hard as they were in real life.... no multiplayer..... SP only... no skill points.... no badass ranking systems.....no head up displays.
there is a way to kill that sniper, there always was, the game must not spoon feed you, it's up to you to work it out, that's why you've got a brain in your head.
``see that helmet over there, put it on that stick and lift it up slowly over the window ledge, i'll watch it...... BANG.....ok he's over there, do it again but to this other window instead, while you do that i'll charge into that house over the street``.

COD will not change until it stops selling shed loads of copies, it still has a few more years using the current formula. Even if it does, I think that custom classes, perks etc. are staying mainstream for well past the death (and inevitable reboot) of COD.
yea they'll drag it out for ever if it sells money, i expect they'll carry on with Crysis as well, plus of course Borderlands, because that looks like another 6 vaults/planets.
Borderlands is the one i worry about, because i cant handle those ****** side bosses, plus 2 playthroughs yet again in a 3rd game..... can you !

Did not buy - Mass Effect 3. Saw a play through and was appalled. Bioware(EA) fail.
Should not have bought - Diablo 3. 'twas an overrated pile of pony. I actually resent that I spent money on it. This is highly unusal as there have only been a few games I've bought that have irritated me this way, and D3 was one.

Even though it was almost completely nonsensical and the beginning and ending were awful(the ending in particular), I am still glad I bought it tbh....I can safely say that no other game has affected me as much as this game did!
I still believe that enough can be salvaged though dlc to make it acceptable if done properly....It will not be though.
