This morning my wife approached me and asked why I had 'liked' a video of some bikini clad women on Failbook.

I hadn't liked the video, nor had I even watched it but sure enough it showed up as having been 'liked' by me in my Timeline Activity Log.

Two minutes later, it showed that my wife had liked it as well :p

According to this BBC News article:-

BBC News said:
Facebook "likes" are being added to webpages even if a user has not clicked a like button, or even visited the page in question, the company has admitted.

However the article goes on further to state:-

BBC News said:
A US security researcher found that simply sending a web address to a friend using Facebook's private messaging function would add two likes to that page.

Well the video in question showed up on a friend's news feed, not a private message, so I question whether they had known about it as well.

Pretty annoying that this could happen without my consent.

Oh and in before 'lol Facebook', but at least it isn't Twitter.

This happened to someone on my Facebook recently :D

This needs a picture of a cat saying "YEAH, SURE" like never before.

I knew it!

Apparently I've liked some retailers and the latest batman film. These "likes" don't show up anywhere in my timeline and I know I never liked these things.

Facebook is getting very spammy with "suggested posts" and auto-liking things based on your demographic.

I know theres no such thing as a free lunch but to be so sly about this stuff is rubbish :(

There is a something on facebook atm called Self shoot naughties or something like that. Seen a few people on my feed 'liking' the page but they aren't the kind of people to 'like' things like that. This explains it.

I was using FF's computer the other day and he was logged into Failbook, I noticed that apparently I had 'liked' Carphone Warehouse earlier that day :/

Which reminds me, for that I shall unlike them ;)

First things first; if you’re going to delve into this yourself, do it in your browser’s private browsing mode, incognito or what’s popularly called “porn mode”
