Duchess of Cambridge's nurse has reportedly been found dead

To me it's a good indication she was one of those drama queens i was going on about earlier. "Let me spend ages letting everyone know so they'll feel guilty about what they done to my fragile little ego"

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I just hope you never have to suffer a suicide from anyone you know with an attitude like that.

Only just realised (my bad!), Mrs Saldanha wasn't even the woman heard talking at length to the DJs.... She was simply the initial voice you hear putting the call through.

Mrs Saldanha, a 46-year-old wife and mother of two, transferred the telephone call on 4 December to a colleague who then gave a detailed update on the duchess's condition to the hoaxers.

She says just 8 words?

"Hello. Good morning"
...
"Oh yes, just hold on Maam"

I'm really confused now by the suicide!

Suicide is one of the most horrendously selfish things a human being can do. It was more important to end her own life permanently than to be there for her kids and husband. The mods might think my view is extreme but i have a deep rooted reasons on this topic.

The kids I'll grant you, but the husband? Isn't expecting someone to live even though they feel their life is hell and they don't want to go on just as selfish on the husband's part?

It's a complicated issue, but i don't think you can just write people who commit suicide of as selfish.

Think everyone is now, seems to me the woman had some deep rooted issues and this prank in no way, shape or form caused her to commit suicide.

+1 cant disagree with that..not only is it selfish but its very cowardly of someone to do that ie commit suicide. Its also the easy way out, no problem big or small is worth finishing your life off imho.

Not me.

It seems obvious to me that as the person responsible for putting the call through, she felt responsible for the entire thing. I never assumed it was about the amount of airtime she got but rather the feeling of responsibility for the episode.

Besides, she probably still got more air time because quite a few outlets like the BBC only aired her part and didn't play the rest of the tape of the other woman.

I'd imagine you'd have to be in a fairly unimaginable place to seriously consider suicide, so I imagine it's difficult for us to truly understand and comment on it.

But I'm having trouble seeing how her eight words drove her to it, so can only think there was some other matter(s) involved too!?

Of course, the main reasoning is that we only have one dead nurse not two!

I'm having trouble thinking why you think the number of words is important and ignoring the fact she was the one who put the call through (the nurse that took it then probably blamed her as her job was to vet callers and not the one who took it in the end) and she was the only one played to the world on the BBC (they cut the rest of the call and only included her voice)

Indeed, if anyone commited suicide in all of this it should have been the second nurse who spilled all of the details without asking any questions.

Anyway, it has come out this morning that one of her notes was lamenting about her treatment by management, so yeah it would have been nice to for the media to actually get all of the details before publically assassinating the DJ's.

Because, in my head I thought she was the main nurse you could hear in the conversation. The one who gave them all the detail/information, and ignored the appalling impressions and corgi dog barks etc.

Now, that woman clearly had far more to be embarrassed about that someone who just said, ""Hello. Good morning" and "Oh yes, just hold on Maam"...

Exactly... And I just can't believe the DJs are being held accountable for her suicide! Bonkers!

But what if it was the first nurse's job to vouch that the people were who they way saying they were and hence once it gets to the second nurse, she doesn't go through all the process again?

She also spoke about the DJs though in one of the notes...

Then she really didn't do a very good job did she!

But hardly a reason for suicide you'd think? People make mistake all the time, and a lot of them far worse than something as harmless as this (really was).

So an over sensitive nurse killed herself because of a prank. She must have been a pretty unstable person to have been traumatised so badly to commit suicide.

No multi million pound investigation needed.

That is what happened, save us tax payers millions.

If you think that about suicide, whats your take on Tony Scott. He done the same thing, suicide with intention of jumping off a bridge. And what about Gary Speed?

I love the big brush rob paints.

Have you ever once taken time to think of the difference in cultures? they see things a lot different to us. Whats trivial to us is very important to them.

Absolutely, there are millions of people all over the world killing themselves because of their cultural differences. I could be mistaken for ancient Japan though.
