OK, so, 24th December our store is going to be wearing fancy dress...rule is, nothing outrageous and has to be practical as we still have to work...I am thinking a 70's pimp with the big hat and cane, Indiana Jones, Mob Boss or a Jedi (this robe and a lightsaber over normal clothes)...

Which would you choose on the aspect of not wanting to pay loads, hopefully be used again, and not stupid...I could be Santa, but there will be others...

Do you work for Tesco? I went in there today and about 2/3 of the staff were in fancy dress.

Mob Boss would be the cheapest and the items would be reusable moreso than any of the others.
How about a wizard? Just get a dressing gown and glue cut out (and tinfoiled) moons & stars onto it. Then get a staff and a big beard.

I work for Argos :D I would need a suit jacket and hat for the mob boss...I don't own a dressing gown either

We switched uniforms with our local Argos store for a day a couple of years ago (I work for Homebase).

Much confusion ensued.

Go as one of the blues brothers. Its pretty simple to do. Black tie, white shirt, black blazer, dark glasses and a black hat.

I bought the black Imperial robe not long back (to use as an actual bathrobe) but due to the length of it and the size of the hood I couldn't resist running about with a red lightsaber like a possessed manchild. Just be warned though, they are very warm indeed and that's with nowt underneath except a pair of boxers and a t-shirt.

It's cold at work with the doors open :D I guess that would work then, I was thinking of the Empire robe, but wouldn't work as well due to having a bloody big Empire crescent on it...where as the Jedi Order badge is ok the Jedi robe...
