does this build ive chosen as an idea be able to cover that or atleast most games and if so, whats it likely not to cover?

like to know about whether the onboard graphics be any good too? maybe save a few quid like..

edit:

hard drive i just thrown in there, if i go proper system over Zotac, the keys parts are the Mobo bundle(s), GPU and PSU.

ps

if mods want to delete the 'whats the other specs' thread then go right ahead, what was meant to be a genuine question/talk started getting out of control, so for everyones sake aswell as mine, it might aswell come to an end lol. ;)

No point getting an APU if you're not going to use the onboard graphics. Just get an i3 or pentium (whichever is in your budget) and use the 7750 with that

A AMD A10-5800K integrated GPU is 70% compared to a HD7750
At that price point a 32Gb SSD is to small and to expensive for a budget build
And the PSU is overkill

171Pounds you still need HDD case and PSu
You might opt for better ram that will increase graphic performance about 20%

thanks for reply, so basically the APU is in a league of its own then? ive seen people suggest to others, but not read much on it..

i have removed the GPU and SSD, im not bothered about them at this stage, i can get that stuff used if need be and listed the spec in original post.. overall cost would much better to me aswell.

case was included in the price, it doesnt need to be fancy, just subtle and black.. yeah i only put the SSD in there to see what the price be, it be for OS only anyways.. ah right, so something 400-500w or under 400w? only put that as 500-550 seems to be the average supply for builds...

as i motioned above, right now im not bothered about the HDD or anything, im going to need everything bar a mouse and monitor as i can use my 46" 1080p 3D samsung, however i can get the other stuff like HDD used if need be, its the Mobo, CPU, PSU thats the important parts for me, i dont want overkill for my usage, but would want something decent...

oh and i only chose that CPU option as my only experience with AMD is my missus SFF with a mobile sempron 3300+ and my laptop is a dual core, so thought if i be able to afford it then try out a quad ;)..

id love to have something like the Zotac but with the likes of the APU bundle, but not really much choice for SFF similar size to an xbox 360 lol.

i do like the sound of that and the price, i got a old white case i could use for the time being unless i can spec in a case and psu for less than 240..

i just want christmas to hurry up, so i can finalize my options :D, unless i give my missus my laptop i could maybe sell it to help fund a desktop, but need the replacement first really lol

The APU can handle all games on at least 1280/1024 with low settings
And it comes for free in the CPU
But you might consider some faster ram it will improve GPU performance
For PSU i am a gold lover so only stuff like
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-020-SS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2383
you will get from me
Overclocking the CPU is not an option with the useless stock cooler

impressive bit of kit then, i think i may change to 8gig depending what my funds look like..

Do you intend to play in 3D
Or use it from time to time?
Because the APU dose not support 3D out of the box
AMD involves third party software in the mix and i have no clue how it actually works
That platform has a 150W max power draw so......any PSU will do as long as it is of decent build
Later with a deacent CPU cooler you can OC the video from 800Mhz to 1000-1100Mhz
But please consider better ram that was the minimum
But there is no offer on sale so
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-018-TG&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1387
is the next best thing
:)
EDIT: Ram speed is very important on this platform

i had another look at PSu but the price high
The cheapest is at 33pounds
But for the gold one you get 5 years worrenty 90% efficiency compared to 80% efficenty
It will save you 5pounds a year on electricity :D
There is one at 20 pounds but i have no confidence in it

hmm never really thought about 3D to be honest, any computer i get will get linked to my 46" LCD Samsung which is 3D, but only ever used the 3D on Killzone 3 on ps3 and a very good downloaded copy of Avatar in 3D, i got the tv for future preference when 3D evolves more..

HDMI is the only extra i want really as thats better and easier connecting than VGA other than that the graphics can be whatever so long as they good..

well where options are available 8gb would always be my preference, i got 4gb on my laptop which matched to the rest of the spec is really good, but buying new is usually you aim for higher..

okay then, so i think for a proper computer, an APU setup is what im going to get as its a nice setup that will suit my needs and will always come in within whatever i will ever to be able to afford with the alternative computer being a Zotac with 8gb and 1tb ;)..

cheers for the replies and advise guys, other than facebook, steam will only ever be my source for any proper pc gaming when i so choose to use it..

nice spec that and a good price..

thought about it the other day, but havent been on for a few days, i wanted to ask how much of a difference between the OC bundle i listed and the separates you guys have listed?

thinking of costs and availability..

unless i can get a copy of my win7 off laptop i will need an OS which will be win8 even though im not yet overally keen on the layout you see at the start, its nice and colorful, but sorta reminds me of the xbox 360 lol and seems to much stuff to see when you first log on, but as im looking at new build, i might aswell just get it as its 50 quid like 64bit win7..

oh and final question for tonight, i am going to need to get hold of an hard drive otherwise cant use the computer(all questions based round the possibility of a desktop over mini pc) lol and in town the other day in well known electronic store, i saw what i think was a vertex 4 SSD which is a 120gb for under 60 quid and wondering whether i should buy that if the price stays the same and put that in the new computer or put it in my laptop and put the 640gb sata in the desktop as a starting block??

laptop would go to the missus and having a SFF she wouldnt need more than 120gb really, but the laptop wont be original..

edit: or keep laptop and get her one if she dont do it herself actually now i think about it and have 3 devices, 2 in sig plus desktop hahaha, be greedy because i can.

Steam games are quite varied, you have indie games that are years old and could run on anything, then games up to crysis/far cry 3.

I would maybe consider, if you're limited on funds, a cheap intel build and upgrading to a 7850 when funds permit. Really depends on the games though - Steam itself has such a variety

ha yeah i know, to be honest i dont remember what games ive got so far other than BoarderLands, MW2, Team Fortress(and 2 or just 2) and dont know what games i would play, i do have a demo of F1 2012, but i suppose i would try newer games out.. i have Star Craft 2 which i will play again once i find my login stuff..

i was thinking, because i noticed prices have gone up and generally just interested, but would either the bundle i chose or the separate choices fit inside a Cube case basically same size as a shuttle?? thinking i could get a tower with decent spec for the missus and use her SFF case for myself?? ;)

Yes the 7750 is better than any APU. The Pentium has worse CPU peformance but still packs a fair bit of punch.

It has the dodgy 7750, 128 bit.

If I was going that train of thought, I'd sacrifice board a bit, raise a little on the CPU and GPU.

I'd probably want to take the A10 with some nice 1866MHZ RAM and clock the IGP myself though.
