Mine would have to be R-Type. I spent an absolute fortune in the late 80's early 90's playing it.

What were/are your favourites?

Mortal Kombat 2, Daytona USA, World Rally, Time Crisis.

I was so chuffed when Gaelco released world rally free for MAME.

Bubble Bobble :D.

Last time I went to the arcades in S.Shields, they still had the machine for it. Still only 10p per play as well.

Shinobi, wardner, legend of hero tonma, wonderboy in monsterland, outrun, ninja warriors, sly spy, bad dudes vs dragon ninja, double dragon... To name a few :)

R-type, Shinobi and Rastan :)

The Rastan arcade machine in our local newsagent had a small hole in it where you could press the free game/test button. We'd be there all afternoon playing for free :)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I used to always be in the arcade at at the time it was released and when it first arrived I couldn't believe how good it looked. That's pretty much all I played for ages. I've finished it loads of times in recent years. The last time was about a year ago when I had an xbox 360.

I always loved Sega's racing games, Daytona, Sega Rally, Sega Touring Car Championship, Scud Race and Manx TT were the pick of the crop. I also liked Konami's GTI Club. I also loved Double Dragon and Final Fight.

I used to like those Street Fighter II cabinets that had been modded so you could do 100 hadookans at the same time and Blanca would produce fireballs when he did his electricity thing.

Easy to complete so you always got your money's worth.

Good shout on GTI club, spent loads of time playing that.
