Anyone else Dislike Christmas?

Guys this is serious thread, for serious people, to make serious posts.

Don't accidentally the whole thread

Out of the circle of people I know, the people who don't like Christmas are also the people who make a point of moaning at what other people choose to post on Facebook.

Just an observation. Someone do some science and find a correlation.

I like the atmosphere but I hate all the rellies you've never seen since last Xmas making their annual visits. I have nothing to say to them. But there is plenty of beer in the garage so I'll just glug on that.

I just stuck SmoothRadioXMAS on the wireless and it certainly feels like Christmas Day already!

I love the actual day but the whole commercialised build-up kinda ruins it.

Christmas adverts before December? Go die.

Yeah I don't like Christmas.

It's a religious celebration forced on everyone by companies out to sell cards, trees, crackers, turkey, gifts, whatever you can think of.

I'm Atheist, why should I celebrate Christmas?

... so I end up working with a skeleton crew - makes work difficult for a few weeks. Shops overcrowded, advertising goes mental.

Peeps send me cards and get butt hurt when they don't get one back.

Christmas adverts - mid November.

Christmas decorations - December.

Christmas pop songs - 2 weeks before.

Christmas carols - 1 week before.

Christmas presents - Christmas morning.

Brussel sprouts - never.

Those are the rules.

It has its origins as a religious celebration but it doesn't feel like it anymore. It's just about booze, partying, presents and turkey. The nearest I come to religion is watching the midnight mass on the tele.

Lost too many family members too close to xmas day for me to have any cause to celebrate.

Aside from that I dislike how comercial it all is, and especially the same old songs trotted out year after year.

humbug indeed.
