This 7950 WF3 has highlighted one issue for me, my 10 year old Thermaltake Lanfire case needs replacing as the air flow sucks!

Sleeping Dogs got the GPU upto 70c last night at 1150 1.218v and my CPU temp went up 10c higher than i have ever seen it before!

This card is literally baking my CPU:D

wow you have that memory running mega fast! what are your vrm temps? do you have your fan on quite hight to get those temps at that voltage? surprised thats safe tbh

vrm temps are hitting 67'c in bf3

are you on air or water? you must have your fan turned up pretty high or?

Think i have fixed the BSOD's i was having when leaving the computer idle for several hours, setting power options to never turn off the monitors.

i think im getting this now i leave the pc awhile come back and it wont come out of sleep mode!pc still running but wont start up the monitors and let me use the pc have to turn the whole thing off via the psu power switch!

how come this happens?

Yep id either come back and the monitors would be on but the screens would be blank or come back to a BSOD, either way a hard reboot was required to get it back.

Had this same issue with my 7850 and 7950.

well after a bit of fiddeling with volts and fan profiles i now have the card running 1150/1450 @1.225v core temp max 58c and vrm's max 64vrm 1 and 66c vrm2 (playing metro 2033 everything maxed)

pretty happy with those temps tbh

any point in pushing for higher clocks? will i realistically see any performance gains in game pushing any further?

I may as well post in here, their are new versions of the Gigabyte 7950 WF3 with BIOS - FZ0 - Manufacture date: November 2012 - See this thread >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18469510

It's basically a GHz version of the 7950, with the following default clocks @ 1.25v - Voltage is locked - unless you use 'Force Constant Voltage' in MSI Afterburner, doing so loses powerplay - power saving features in desktop.

Mine did 1150MHz on the core @ 1.25v, anything higher would result in artifacts in Heaven 3.0, someone elses did 1200MHz @ 1.25v le silicon lottery.
