It looks like bundle box will be about 2-300 quid for what I want so might just put it off and go for a holiday to new york and buy it then.

I wasn't saying that it wasn't an option, more a consideration.

If you're going down the whole parcel forwarding route then I recommend shipito. I've used them a few times. There is no subscription fees and you just pay a fee of $8.50 for them to forward it and for delivery of course. They have multiple options for delivery, USPS included, so you don't have to pay loads for Fedex although the option is there.

If you can get the dimensions/weight of the box that that nobis site ship in, then you can get a quote from their site. May work out cheaper for you then. I saved quite a bit when I used them to buy some PC bits last year.

Once your parcel arrives at their warehouse you select your shipping method and you fill in your own customs form, including the contents and value After that it's just like any standard parcel being shipped from abroad and will be subject to the relevant duty. So if under £25 and marked as gift then you're ok (or what ever the current threshold is). I guess it's entirely up to you how you fill in the paperwork.
