surely you would be better off trying to buy www.lastname.co.uk/.com etc

Some people like it - I had emails in the past from people wanting to buy it. Don't understand why the appeal, you'd be better off just buying a domain as you say. I guess it does offer some anonymity?

I think the only reason I wouldn't sell my account would be trying to remember all the sites I'd signed up to. If I could magically transfer all my historical accounts to a new address I wouldn't give a toss. I'd be worried that someone would have access to my accounts/passwords etc otherwise.

So I registered my Xbox Gamertag as a .co.uk domain. It's not a daft gamertag and it sounds like a proper company.
