Trip to romance in Paris - where to stay?

Lovely hotel, in a nice quiet location but easy to get to on the metro. We loved the feeling of being in Paris but not surrounded by tourists the local shops were lovely and the hotel staff fantastic.

For my ex wife's 40th we stayed at the Concorde LaFayette, very nice,bar on the top floor with great view of Eiffel Tower,but at 47 euros for 2 drinks we only went up there once.
Apart from that it was good and very handy for the city centre.
I know it was expensive but it was a special occasion.
