quick Q

has paypal sped up its withdrawal system?

it used takes 7 days?
but it just said up to 24 hours and the money is already in my account

Paypal are finally using Faster Payments, so yes.

yep, i withdrew some money a few weeks ago and it said it may take two hours.

I immediately lodged into the bank and there it was however it hadn't cleared for 24 hours.

Only seems to work on the main website - if you use the mobile app, it's still taking ~2-3days.

About time, really annoyed me that they were charging for faster payments before!

On subject of Paypal, recommend you turn on 2 step auth with SMS

If you do it from your phone it still takes days, from your puter its 2 hours

Mine (See above) was from my phone and was instant. Why would it be any different where you've withdrawn from if it's going from PayPal to your bank? Unless there's some kind of added security? In any case, mine was instant!

I think it has; i had a refund from another retailer made almost instantaneously last night. I'm very impressed!

It takes literally less than an hour, more like 15-20 minutes now, so much more convenient! Something they should have done a long time ago tbh rather than making you wait 3-4 working days.

They refunded all/most of those faster payments charges.

I got all mine back in a lump sum, it was quite nice

If you do it from the "PayPal App" on a phone it'll take 2-3 days. If you do it from the website (still on your phone) it'll use the faster payments method.

The 3-4 days thing was for their own benefit, it would go in to their account for a few days for the purposes of earning interest on it.
