Does it really matter what he said? The police officer was over it a long time ago and they are still wasting time with this rubbish? there should be more important things going on.

I'm surprised they didn't treat a cyclist as a car, as they had done many times previously and opened the gate.
Still its a non-story that labour have rattled at for weeks on end now.
Well done the ed's good luck with future electioneering, if all you can say you achieved in opposition was someone who didn't matter resigning.

A fair point but as the government shaft the police at every given opportunity then I struggle to sympathise. Andrew Mitchell reaped what he sowed.

He is accusing the police officer of lying, and falsifying an official report. It matters a lot.

yes it does, as he may say he didnt say pleb or anything else BUT wont actually say what he claims to have said.

iv got a feeling if he came out at the start and said he said x y or z then he may still be in the chief wips job, but because for some reason he cant bring himself to say it, it makes him look even worse.

also what he half admitted to saying he swore at the police went out the window this week as at one point in the house of commons when this was being debated at pmq's he is shaking his head and mouthing "i didnt swear".

If they haven't broken any laws in doing so, why would they go to jail? Or are you advocating arbitrary imprisonment?

Because taking to the streets for so many hard-done-bys means vandalizing cars, homes and business premises including those owned by hard working families, although come to think of it that might be why they would be a target. Along with assaulting anyone who looks vulnerable.

There should be a special law that anyone caught in possession of stolen pair of trainers where both of them are for the same foot or if running off with an Alba telly from a store packed with top brand names, they should be shot on sight.
 
Was an officer arrested today regarding this?
Heard the end of something on the radio and din't quite catch it all.

Seemed an officer released the pleb stuff to the press, but he wasn't present or on duty at the time he claimed to be?
Is this accurate?
 
Just caught some of this on the news, but it seems that a bent copper sent an email posing as a member of the general public who witnessed the altercation. The only problem is, they lied and their story doesn't line up with what actually seems to have happened.
