eBay Fees

If I'm selling something on eBay for cash on collection only do i still pay the 15% fees, Or just the listing Fee?

Only thing you save is the paypal fees, as you don't use paypal.

For cash on collection you would probably still be best to print off an invoice and get the buyer to sign it before handing over the goods.

Not happened to me but i've heard of people collecting goods and then emailing ebay to say they never received the item.

So? Its cash on collection. Never accept PayPal in person.

List it auction style for 99p thus avoiding insertion fees. You will get plenty offers to end the auction early before the end, then message the buyer to arrange pickup, cancel the auction.

Avoid all fees.

lol, classic attempt at ebay scaremongering

when I win or offer a collection only auction, I always offer cash payment and arrange with the other person to cancel the transaction via the resolution centre, which cancels any fees after auction end

This is what most people seem to do when it's a cash and collection transaction.

No need really to be giving eBay anything for that. Their seller/buyer protection isn't used at all. Though it would probably be best using Gumtree or other means.

Only works if they paid by paypal, and even then a signature means nothing to them. You must use recorded delivery to the paypal confirmed address.

If cash on collection and buyer tries a scam, file a non paying bidder report. As far as ebay is concerned they haven't paid.

Except I'd refuse to do mutually cancel and file a breach of terms report. Someone else benefiting like this only gives ebay reason to raise fees when at the end of the year they decide they aren't making enough profit.

10% final value fee plus 3.4% + 20p paypal fee results in that charge.
