Question: How to posting Skis

Ok, I'm looking to sell my old skis but I'm a bit confused as to who to send them with as they're over the usual 1.5m limit. Does anyone have any experience with posting skis that didn't cost them the earth?

They're 177cm long (probably going to be the best part of 180cm when packaged up).

Picking up from Milton Keynesing, posting to not sure yet, I guess it'll depend on the destination? I planned to sell them on that awful site we all hate and need to enter a postage price but don't know where to look to get a guide!

take them into a shop?
flog them to an unsuspecting homeless man saying they are magic feet?

I saw this documentary once with this scientist called Rick Moranis, see if you can get in touch with him to borrow his shrink ray, then you can just put them in a jiffy bag.
