It'd work, but it would struggle in more demanding games.. I'd say wait until you have £50 or so more so you can get a 7850 in the budget. If you're really looking to upgrade before xmas, you could see if you can find a secondhand GTX 460 or 6850 and use that instead of the 7770.

thanks for that altrewin, yeah i have a few things selling on ebay but not sure if gonna sell in time for cut off day from OC,

what you change if i could say have a £450 budget

was going to try buy some pc games too but that will wait :)

What PSU do you have? Are your drives sata?

Better GPU, will overclock well, includes games. Mobo is voltage locked but a great deal and lets us use the i5K OEM on offer without buying a heatsink.

So would i be able to buy this set up, without the gpu, and later on buy the tower http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-214-CM&groupid=2362&catid=29&subcat=
and the gpu Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card w/ FARCRY3, Sleeping Dogs & Dirt Showdown PC Games

drive is sata but i dont have a case or psu, so maybe the i3 would be better but i like the idea of that gpu which comes with 3 games which is awesome

My fav starters case currently is the Zalman Z9 U3 (sadly not stocked here)

All for under £450 with 3 games. The Z9 U3 is a little more money but should still come in at £450 if you swap out the Asgard Pro

Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller and the Zalman Z9 U3 ! is the only difference that 1 is usb 3?

The U3 version has 2 front USB3 ports and has a proper side window. The Z9 plus sold here has mostly mesh on the side panel. I own the Z9 plus and have done Xmas builds with the U3, it really is a much better case. It also has a fan filter below for the PSU, in truth the vents for the PSU arent great so mount the PSU fan up. The U3 has one less fan than the Z9 plus but 3 is ample for the case.

That is a nice case. Good airflow/cable management?

Yes it is nice. It's just an updated version of the Z9 plus. There isn't a great deal of space from the back of the mobo tray to the side panel but it does have cable management, using a modular PSU makes life much easier. You also get an extension for the aux power cable to the mobo so you can route it behind the mobo tray. Lots of kit for the price ;)

When i did the builds with the U3, I moved the fans around. I put the non LED as front intake (it has a molex connector) and the two LED fans i fitted as rear exhaust and at the base of the case to help illuminate inside.

I did a review of the Hydra Pro fan controller in my Z9 (LINK), near the end of the review I have temp and noise readings for the stock setup vs the upgrade......I included pics which might be of help
